In ancient Egypt, the paradise afterlife was known as the Field of Reeds. This series is inspired by this aspiration and by the flat and highly graphic nature of ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics and wall paintings. I use this iconography as a jumping off point to create a modern translation of symbols and narratives that bring beauty and magic potential to wearable artifacts.
